Background

Antolin is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of automotive interior solutions, with more than 120 plants in 25 countries and a global portfolio covering headliners, doors, lighting, and electronics. Its pace of growth—both organic and through acquisitions—required an operating model capable of ensuring control, quality, and traceability in highly critical production environments.

Since 2006, ASPA has been Antolin’s trusted partner for the design, evolution, and deployment of its corporate SAP model, including custom developments and the extension of the model to new regions and business areas.

Overview

ASPA has collaborated with Antolin in the execution of a long-term international rollout program based on its global SAP ERP model, covering corporate processes such as finance, controlling, sales, purchasing, logistics, manufacturing, quality management, maintenance, and warehousing. Over nearly two decades, ASPA has participated in more than 40 SAP rollouts.

The collaboration includes project management, local adaptations, end-to-end execution, and direct support during plant go-lives, ensuring operational continuity in highly demanding JIT/JIS environments.

Goals

  • Harmonize key business processes across all group operations under a single corporate SAP model.
  • Replace local systems or integrate acquisitions while ensuring short go-live timelines.
  • Increase global control over production, costs, planning, and logistics.
  • Maximize reuse of the core model, reducing effort, risk, and cost in each rollout.

Challenge

Deploying SAP in a global industrial environment required maintaining operational reliability in plants operating under JIT/JIS principles, integrating MES systems, and adapting to diverse local regulatory requirements. Data quality was a recurring risk, particularly in acquired plants or those coming from heterogeneous legacy systems, and change management had to be addressed rigorously to ensure adoption and continuity. All of this needed to be achieved while meeting a key requirement: enabling the rapid launch or integration of new plants without compromising group-wide operational stability.

The international SAP ERP rollout program enabled Antolin to consolidate a truly global operating model:

  • Standardized and aligned processes across all operations.
  • A core model with over 90% reuse, well above industry averages.
  • The ability to integrate new plants quickly through a repeatable architecture and methodology.
  • Clear governance of the model, ensuring long-term consistency, quality, and scalability.

This framework has been instrumental in supporting Antolin’s orderly international growth, the incorporation of new business lines, and continuous improvements in global efficiency.

  • More than 40 SAP rollouts successfully delivered across three continents.
  • Implementation timelines reduced to as little as four months, thanks to model maturity and the joint ASPA–Antolin methodology.
  • Production go-lives with minimal incidents, even in high-volume, mission-critical plants.
  • Seamless integration of both new and acquired plants, including environments with complex local requirements.
  • A hybrid delivery model (remote–on-site) developed by ASPA, validated in early rollouts and now a standard approach for Antolin’s international projects.
