We celebrate the third Edition of our Internship Talent Program: Adapting to the Challenge of the Pandemic

In a year marked by uncertainty and difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many companies have chosen to cancel their training programs. However, at ASPA, we decided to face this challenge with resilience and innovation by adapting the third edition of the Internship Talent Program to a confinement context and delivering it entirely remotely.

Our Commitment to Training

Since the beginning of the lockdown, the schools we work with have expressed their concerns: numerous companies cancelled their internship programs, leaving students without the opportunity to gain professional experience. At ASPA, we understand that a strong commitment to training is especially crucial in challenging times.

For this reason, we decided to maintain the 2020 edition of the Internship Talent Program, transforming it into a 100% online format. This change represented a significant challenge, but our priority was to ensure that students could continue developing their technical and professional skills, regardless of the circumstances.

Innovation and Adaptation to Remote Work

The 2020 edition of the Internship Talent Program was the first to be held completely remotely, a format that presented multiple challenges:

  1. Adapting facetoface content to the online format: Materials and activities originally designed for in‑person training were redesigned to fit the virtual environment.
  2. Implementation of digital tools: We incorporated remote collaboration platforms that allowed participants to work in teams, manage tasks, and receive training in real time.
  3. Training in a realistic virtual environment: Through digital tools and guided sessions, students faced technical and collaborative challenges similar to those of a face‑to‑face environment, preparing them for the demands of remote work in the IT sector.

This effort not only allowed participants to experience what it is like to work at an IT company such as ASPA but also demonstrated our ability to adapt quickly to a completely unexpected context.

Our Commitment Continues

At ASPA, we reaffirm our dedication to the development of young talent. This training program represents a commitment we continue to honour year after year: offering students an enriching experience that marks the beginning of their professional careers.

Despite the difficulties, we were confident that this third edition would be a valuable experience for both participants and the ASPA team working alongside them. The resilience demonstrated throughout this period reaffirmed our commitment to training and innovation.

Looking Ahead

The pandemic created a scenario of profound uncertainty, impacting individuals, organizations, and society as a whole. However, at ASPA, we remained committed to the training of young talent, demonstrating that it is possible to face challenges and adapt even under the most exceptional circumstances.

We believe that with the right tools, flexibility, and strong commitment, this programme was able to offer a transformative training experience and serve as an example of how adversity can be overcome through innovation and teamwork.
